M. D. Anderson is a global resource for patients and physicians alike. Our office assists physicians from around the globe on a daily basis and in the course of any given year will assist physicians from over 100 countries.

Introducing Ms. Chyi Chou
Chyi is an International Physician Liaison in the Office of Physician Relations at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. She is in contact with physicians around the globe by phone, email, mail, fax and/or social networks such as Twitter and Linkedin. During her eighteen years at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center she has worked in various outpatient care centers, in clinical trial research, and in physician relations management. Her experience, and professional contacts, extend from the Texas Medical Center, across the state, the nation, and to dozens of countries around the world. During the last ten years at the Office of Physician Relations she has provided referring physicians with the world class customer service, speedy patient referral assistance, and facilitated access to faculty and staff.
Chyi has participated on several cancer prevention and clinical trial committees. She is also very active in the Asian community. She is a member of the Asian Cancer Council and also a board member of Houston Communities for Safe Indoor Air (HCSIA). She also participates in the organization of the annual Chinese Health Fair to increase awareness of the importance of cancer prevention & early detection.
Prior to joining the department, Chyi was involved in Phase I, II, and III multi-center clinical research trials. Her work has been published in various professional journals. She is a registered nurse who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas. Chyi was awarded a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Texas Woman's University. Chyi speaks fluently in English, Mandarin, Spanish, and Taiwanese (dialect).

Our International Center
Many of our patients travel to Houston from all over the world for cancer treatment. Our International Center is dedicated to helping your patients with travel arrangements, visas and language assistance. Additionally, Chyi Chou is happy to assist physicians in their communications with the International Center.
