The Office of Physician Relations facilitates relationships between M. D. Anderson faculty and staff and community physicians in the U.S. and internationally.

Our mission includes creating opportunities for mutually beneficial interactions by providing comprehensive information about our faculty, staff, clinical programs, services and procedures available at M. D. Anderson. We focus on providing excellent customer service, knowledgeable referral assistance and coordinated continuing medical education (CME) programming.

Physician feedback is strongly encouraged and has led directly to continuous improvements in
M. D. Anderson processes that support patient and physician access.

Physician Access Center
The nurses in our Physician Access Center have experience in research and clinical oncology. They can assist you and your staff with the referral process, link you directly to the appropriate care centers, answer questions about myMDAnderson for Physicians or help you find a clinical trial for your patient. Call (800) 392-1611 and press 1 to reach the Physician Access Center.

Field Representatives
Our clinically trained Physician Relations Specialists visit physicians and staff in their offices in and around the greater Houston area. They can provide clinical trial updates, information about new treatments, CME programming, and hands-on training on myMDAnderson for Physicians for you and your staff.

International Physician Relations
Our International Physician Relations staff provides personalized referral assistance, facilitating the process for international referring physicians.

Clinical Trials
There are more than 1,000 clinical trials currently available for your patients at M. D. Anderson. We help identify the appropriate research staff to discuss clinical trials and eligibility criteria specific to your patient. Let us know if you would like to collaborate with M. D. Anderson on clinical trials.

Faculty Speakers Bureau
M. D. Anderson physicians are available for your oncology presentations. Our Physician Relations Education Coordinator can identify topics, provide faculty who are subject matter experts and assist with CME accreditation, if needed.
